On March 14, Ambassador Zou Xiaoli met at the Embassy the delegation of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office to the European Union, led by Special Representative Shirley LAM.

Ambassador Zou briefed the delegation of the current situation in Greece and the China-Greece relations. He said that the COSCO Piraeus Project has become an important supporting point in the "Belt and Road" construction, and under the driving power of this "dragon head",both the economic and cultural ties between China and Greece has been more and more closer.Greece has been an attractive place for Chinese investors and the bilateral cooperative willing is getting stronger and stronger. As this year marks the China-Greece Cultural Exchange and Cultural Industry Cooperation Year, and China being the country of honor in the 2017 Thessaloniki International Fair.Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has the advantage on Shipping,HI-Technology and Tourism.Ambassador Zou hoped that Hong Kong S.A.R can give full play to its advantages in participating China-Greece friendly cooperation.

Special Representative Shirley LAM briefed the Ambassador Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office to the European Union and the cooperation between Hong Kong S.A.R. and  Greece. She said that Greece is getting to know Hong Kong and It's a good beginning for bilateral cooperation.Hong kong S.A.R.will focus on finding out more cooperation opportunities with the Greek side in the future, so as to make contributions to the bilateral relations.

After the meeting,Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office to the European Union with Hellenic Federation of Enterprises co-held Business Luncheon "Business opportunities in Hong Kong-Your partner in Asia" to promote Invest in Hong Kong in Royal Olympic Hotel..Economic and Commercial Counselor Office of Chinese Embassy participated this event.
