Notice on the application for health code requirements for people from Greece to China (Updated on June 30th)

In order to carry out scientific and accurate epidemic prevention and control work, according to the latest domestic requirements, the process for applying for health codes for people going to China is updated as follows:

I. Application materials

(1) PCR test report sampled within 48 hours before boarding, issued by the local legal linic A in Greece

(2) PCR test report sampled within 24 hours before boarding, issued by the local legal testing institution B in Greece

(3) Itinerary ticket

(4)Valid residence certificate (visa page, residence permit)

(5) Vaccination certificate

Ⅱ. Testing requirements

(1) Passengers going to China must undergo "double PCR tests" within 48 hours before boarding (take PCR tests within 48 hours and 24 hours before boarding in two different testing institutions, with a sampling interval of more than 24 hours).

(2) PCR test shall be sampled by nasopharyngeal swab, by Real Time PCR / RT-PCR method.

(3) The Chinese Embassy in Greece will no longer designate any testing institutions. We accept all the PCR testing certificates issued by the local legal testing institutions in Greece.

(4) The test report shall reflect the name, address and contact information of the testing institution, as well as the complete information of the name, sampling time, date of birth, certificate number and other information of the applicant.

Ⅲ. Application method of ordinary personnel

Foreign passengers should take relevant tests and apply the health code by logging on the website of https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/h5/ via computer or smart phone. Passengers need to register, fill in the information, declare the health status and upload the test reports, passport, Chinese Visa, Vaccination Certificate and Self-Health Monitoring Form online, which will then be examined and verified by the Embassy. Upon approval, applicants will receive the Electronic Health Declaration Certificate, which will be displayed in QR Code with the “HDC” mark. Foreign passengers must present the electronic or printed QR code with the “HDC” mark, and follow the procedures for inspection by relevant airlines during boarding. (Previous infected persons and close contacts persons with COVID-19 need to upload the Self-Health Monitoring Form)

We embassy review and issue health codes during weekends, holidays and non-working hours. However, since the health code review takes some time, please submit your application at least 2 hours before the flight. The review time is related to the total amount of application, submission time, completeness of materials and other factors. Therefore, please wait patiently after submitting the application and query the results online. If you need supplementary materials, we will prompt you through the health code management system. Please keep your contact number open so that we can contact you.

Ⅳ. Application method of other personnel

(1) Previously infected persons

For those who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or who have been positive for PCR test, they should apply for a health code after recovery more than 14 days. Previous infected persons who have recovered for less than 14 days should apply for the health code after 14 days.

For those who hold the recovery certificate issued by doctors in general hospitals or the EU recovery certificate, we embassy will determine the recovery time according to the date of issuance of the certificate or certificate.

If there is no certificate, please send the following materials to hsm67b@gmail.com for confirming the recovery, the recovery date is subject to the second negative time of PCR test:

1. Two negative PCR test reports (the sampling time of these two should be at least 24 hours apart);

2. After the above second PCR tests, the health status shall be monitored for 14 days and the Self-Health Monitoring Form shall be upload together in our system with other materials (see the attachment).

(2) Close contacts and suspected cases

For those who have close contact with infected persons, suspected cases and asymptomatic infected persons, and have suspected symptoms such as fever, cough, diarrhea and so on within 14 days before applying for the health code, and the PCR test results are "uncertain", or the PCR test results are in the gray area, we embassy will not issue the health code temporarily.

Applicants with the above conditions need to conduct health monitoring for 5 days, and if there is no abnormality during the period, they can apply for the health code again. In addition to meeting the above relevant provisions, the Self-Health Monitoring Form for 5 days before boarding should be uploaded in our system (see the attachment).

V. Route to China

People departing from Greece can freely choose to take direct flights from Greece or transfer to China through a third country. There will be no limit on the number of routes and transfers to China. If you take a transit flight to China, the applicant should take test and apply for a health code at the place of departure and the transit place (the last transit place where has the direct flight to China). Those who have transferred to China through Greece should hold a valid Schengen visa or residence, please complete the tests at the country of first departure and obtain the first health code from the Chinese Embassy in the country of first departure in advance.

If you choose to take Air China Flight to China, Air China staff need to check the following materials at the airport:

1. Dynamic health code with "HDC" logo issued by the Chinese Embassy in Greece;

2. Air China "Notice of Passenger and Personal Commitment" receipt sheet screenshot;

3. Paper copies of all the test certificates used when applying for a health code.

Ⅵ. Special reminder

Any falsification or alteration of the test certificates may cause the application or boarding to be rejected and even bring about legal liabilities on the part of the applicants.
