Ambassador Zou Xiaoli Meets with State Minister Alexandros Flambouraris of Greece

On August 8, 2017, Chinese Ambassador Zou Xiaoli met with Minister of State of Greece Alexandros Flambouraris at Maximos Mansion.

Ambassador Zou Xiaoli briefed Minister Flambouraris on the latest development of China-Greece relations since Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras attended the "Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation" in Beijing in May, and expressed thanks to Minister Flambouraris for his positive coordinating role in promoting China-Greece relationship.

Ambassador Zou Xiaoli said, this year marks the 45th anniversary of China-Greece diplomatic relations and also is the the Year of China-Greece Cultural Exchanges and Cultural Industry Cooperation. In the second half of this year, Air China is to open a direct flight between Beijing and Athens. China will attend the 82nd Thessaloniki International Fair as the honoured country. China and Greece will hold a series of fascinating cultural events. All these will further enhance the exchanges between the two peoples, promote pragmatic cooperation in the fields of economy and culture between the two countries, and push China-Greece relations to a new height.

Minister Flambouraris said, Greece regards China as an important strategic partner. He expressed his heartfelt satisfaction with the continuous development of China-Greece relations. He is willing to support the work of the Chinese Embassy in Greece and deepen the friendly cooperation between the two countries.
