On April 20, at the invitation of the municipal government of Ancient Olympia, Chinese Ambassador Zou Xiaoli attended the Olympic Truce Declaration Ceremony held in front of the Temple of Hera. Ambassador Zou, together with IOC President Thomas Bach, IOC Vice-President Yu Zaiqing, Minister Kouroumblis for Interior-Administration Reconstruction, President Capralos of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, Mr. Kotzas, mayor of the Municipality of Ancient Olympia, Mr. Valiotis, mayor of Sparti, Mr. Christodoulopoulos, mayor of Ilida, ambassador of ROK, host of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, and ambassador of Japan, host of 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, signed on the truce declaration.

During the event, Ambassador Zou held cordial conversations with Minister Kouroumblis, ND MP Bakoyannis, Mr. Psinakis, mayor of Marathon, and Mr. Kotzas, mayor of the Municipality of Ancient Olympia.
