On March 8, Chinese Ambassador Zou Xiaoli met with President Mitsotakis of Nea Demokratia (ND) at its headquarters. They had an extensive exchange of views on bilateral relations, practical cooperation in various areas and inter-party relations.

Ambassador Zou congratulated Mr. Mitsotakis on his election as the new leader of ND and spoke highly of the important contribution that the successive governments of ND had made for the development of China-Greece relations. He expressed the hope that ND continue to play a positive role in the Hellenic Parliament and local governments to facilitate greater progress in increasing mutual understanding between the two countries and promoting practical cooperation.

On his part, President Mitsotakis said that Nea Demokratia has always viewed bilateral relations with China from a strategic height. ND sets great store by exchanges with the CPC, welcomes more Chinese businesses in Greece, and supports bilateral cooperation in culture, tourism, education, science and technology, and other areas.
