Li Qiang Meets with Chairman of the National Assembly of Viet Nam Tran Thanh Man

On October 13, 2024 local time, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council met with Chairman of the National Assembly of Viet Nam Tran Thanh Man at the National Assembly Building in Viet Nam.

Li Qiang said that in recent years, China-Viet Nam relations have maintained a momentum of sound and steady development, and the building of a China-Viet Nam community with a shared future has been achieving more in-depth and substantive progress. Facing the accelerating changes unseen in a century in the world, China is ready to work with Viet Nam to take the strategic common understandings reached between the top leaders of the two Parties and countries as fundamental guidelines, carry forward the traditional friendship, consolidate political mutual trust, strengthen solidarity and cooperation, firmly advance the building of a China-Viet Nam community with a shared future, jointly address external challenges and better achieve common development.

Li Qiang pointed out, China is ready to work with Viet Nam to expand exchanges and cooperation between their legislative bodies, strengthen coordination and cooperation in multilateral fields, and provide solid support for promoting each other's socialist development. He expressed the hope that the legislatures of the two countries will strongly support bilateral practical cooperation in various fields, focus more on innovation sectors, and provide legal guarantees for China and Viet Nam to strengthen cooperation in emerging industries such as digital economy, new energy and 5G and jointly cultivate and strengthen new drivers for development. At the same time, the two countries' legislatures should actively provide public guidance to enhance mutual understanding and amity between the two peoples, especially young people, and continue to consolidate the public foundation of bilateral cooperation.

Tran Thanh Man congratulated China on its comprehensive development achievements in recent years, expressing his belief that under the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, China will surely continue to make new and great achievements on the path to modernization. Viet Nam has always regarded China as a top priority and a strategic choice in its foreign relations, and will, in accordance with the important common understandings reached between the top leaders of the two Parties and countries, intensify exchanges with the Chinese side at all levels and in various fields, deepen traditional friendship, consolidate political mutual trust, and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, so as to constantly inject new impetus into bilateral relations. The National Assembly of Viet Nam is ready to maintain close exchanges with the National People's Congress of China, enhance the exchange of experience in developing the socialist rule of law, and play a positive role in consolidating the foundation of friendship between the two countries' societies and promoting the building of a Viet Nam-China community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.
