Wang Huning Meets with General Secretary of CPV Central Committee and State President To Lam

On August 19, 2024, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Wang Huning met with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee and State President To Lam in Beijing.

Wang Huning said that this morning, General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and General Secretary and State President To Lam made strategic plans on deepening the building of the China-Viet Nam community with a shared future, charting the course for the development of relations between the two parties and countries. China is ready to work with Viet Nam to deliver on the important common understandings reached between the top leaders of the two parties and countries and push for deeper and more solid progress in the building of the China-Viet Nam community with a shared future. China's CPPCC is ready to work with the Vietnamese side to make positive efforts to this end.

To Lam said, Viet Nam always remembers and sincerely thanks China for its tremendous assistance to Viet Nam's national liberation and development. Bearing in mind its original aspiration, Viet Nam will be guided by the important common understandings reached between the top leaders of the two parties and countries, consolidate and enhance cooperation in various fields between Viet Nam and China, and build a community with a shared future that carries strategic significance between Viet Nam and China.

Hu Chunhua and Wang Dongfeng, among others, were present at the meeting.
