President Xi Jinping Appoints New Ambassadors

Recently, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping announced the appointment of the following new Ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:

I. Sun Haiyan (female) was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Singapore, replacing Hong Xiaoyong.

II. Zhang Jianwei was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the State of Kuwait, replacing Li Minggang.

III. Zhang Yiming was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the United Arab Emirates, replacing Ni Jian.

IV. Wang Xuekun was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Rwanda, replacing Rao Hongwei.

V. Lu Shan was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Burkina Faso, replacing Li Jian.

VI. Zhou Qian was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Georgia, replacing Li Yan (female).

VII. Han Chunlin was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Romania, replacing Jiang Yu (female).

VIII. Wang Tongqing was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Finland, replacing Chen Li.

IX. Chen Daojiang was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Jamaica, replacing Tian Qi.
