On the night of September 30th, in an atmosphere of happiness and harmony, Ambassador Luo Linquan and Mrs. Qiaoli hosted the reception marking the 59th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China in the Chinese embassy.

    More than 600 guests attended the National Day reception, including ministerial officials from the Hellenic government, representatives from the ND Party and PASOK, senior military officials, foreign envoys to Greece and representatives from the Greek Chinese communities.

    The guests congratulated on the great economic and social achievements China has made during the past 30 years since the implementation of the reform and opening-up policy. They also sang high praise for the success of Beijing Olympic Games and the successful launch of China's second manned spacecraft, Shenzhou ⅶ. High-level Greek officials and social celebrities present expressed satisfaction with the status-quo of bilateral relations between Greece and China and belief in further development of China-Greece Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
