The 2008 Beijing International Book Fair was held from September 1 to 4 at Tianjin International Exhibition Centre. Greece was invited as the Country of Honor. With "Greece: Sea, Sunshine, Sky, Sea breeze and women---a journey of three thousand years" as the theme, the Greek exhibition hall covers an area of 700 square meters. The twelve events being carried out in the hall include the exhibition of Greek publications and lectures by two Greek Nobel Literature Prize winners. During this book fair, more than thirty cultural events are planned by the Greek side, including Greek music, drama and performing arts. Visitors to the book fair showed great enthusiasm for the Greek exhibitions.
