Advice to Those Who Wish to Have the Treatment of Paralysis in China
2004-12-17 00:00

The Chinese Embassy was approached recently by Greek media and citizens about Mr. Huang Hongyun, a Chinese doctor of Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, the affiliated hospital of Beijing Medical University.

There are reports that Dr. Huang and his research team have made some breakthrough in the treatment of paralysis and spine damage using the technology of transplanting human-being stem cell to paralyzed patients, that he has completed over 300 transplant operations since starting his clinical experiment in the year 2000, and that in more than 90% of the cases the condition of the patient's health has improved to different degrees. The Embassy is informed of the above-mentioned reports and requested to provide more information in this regard.

We understand that the technology of transplanting human-being stem cell to paralyzed patients has aroused much interest in the international medical circle and from the patients suffering from paralysis or spine damage. The Chinese Embassy is not in the position to academically evaluate this medical experiment. We suggest that those who wish to have the treatment of paralysis with Dr. Huang contact him directly and make your own judgment before going to Beijing.

Dr. Huang's email address is as follows:

hongyun@spine-damage.com or infor@spine-damage.com
